Mudbound (2017) – Review

An impressive and equally as emotional tale of two men that return home from their World War 2 exploits to continue working for their respective families in Mississippi. One of the families being black and the other being white – they are forced to share the same patch of land but the relationship that the two returning veterans strike up begins to take center stage in a time of segregation and hatred. A really good movie and insight into what life must have been like for families from contrasting backgrounds during this era.

1917 (2019) – Review

The heroic tale of two young British soldiers who are sent to deliver an urgent message through enemy territory to an isolated regiment that are readying themselves for battle, completely unaware of the trap that has been set before them by the enemy combatants. Thousands of men face imminent execution in this race against time survival tale – an intense and equally as gripping cinematic experience from start to finish that will leave you on the edge of your seat throughout.

12 Strong (2018) – Review

After the horrific events of September 11th, 2001, the United States determine that the Taliban in Afghanistan were responsible for the attack on their citizens and assets so act swiftly to respond. It’s worth noting that this review was based solely on the movie I watched at the time and not the true story it was based off.
